UNDER
MY SKIN has given show
participants the opportunity to break down self erected barriers and ease into
the freedom of self expression. Subjects are not models but women who were willing
to share their true vision of themselves. In some cases this "inner"
self is a direct contradiction to the "actual" and that seems to be
what is making this project intriguing to participants. For some it is a non apologetic
admittance to feeling beautiful, shameless and frightfully secure. For others,
a chance to be reckless, NOT responsible and aloof. Sentiments thus far have been
of pride and appreciation for the qualities that binds us. Not
to be forgotten is the number one factor that binds all women and that is the
risk of breast cancer. By pre-purchasing their exhibit portraits participants
have contributed to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and we are seeking additional
support. |
We
are asking you to consider a sponsorship at the
level, understanding that any level of participation would be greatly appreciated
by our committee and sole benefactor, the Susan G. Komen Foundation. |
